Rita and I so appreciate it,” the statement read.On March 11 Hanks, 63, revealed on social media that he and Wilson, 63, had both tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. The couple were tested in Australia, where Hanks was scheduled to shoot a new film about Elvis Presley that has since been postponed. Hanks’ representative Francesca Ciuffo also confirmed the diagnosis to USA TODAY. “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches,” Hanks wrote on Instagram. “Rita had some chills that came and went.
